The Pet Superstore is owned and run husband and wife team Kay and Frank Woodhouse.
We came to be in the pet supplies business over twenty five years ago mainly due to our lovely dog Oscar. Trying to find good quality food for him in Derby, our local city, was proving very difficult so we decided to open a pet supplies business ourselves.
This has become very successful, and we have built up a large local customer base, mostly regular customers returning weekly.
With very good relationships with our suppliers, some even becoming friends over the years, we have been able to supply most items we have been asked for, delivering it ourselves in many cases.
With this in mind we decided the time was right to venture into the internet side of the business.
We have been able to expand our product base even more to offer a comprehensive range of products including veterinary products through our involvement with UK Pet Shop at competitive prices.
We are still very much animal lovers and have had many pets over the years who have been our `product testers’, and still are. Currently our animal family comprises five very boisterous pedigree oriental shorthair cats. Pictures of these will crop up throughout the site from time to time.
Our family is completed by our much loved teenage son ,who helps us out when we need a computer expert.
Our loyal and knowledgeable long serving employees, sisters Kate and Sarah, oversee the rest of our staff and ensure the business runs smoothly.
